Traveling through the beautiful coastal areas of Marin County’s dairy country I came across this scene of cows grazing. Usually accustomed to finding cows clustered together under a tree, I was very excited to see them separated as distinctive individuals and as a most promising basis for an artistic arrangement on this sunny hillside.
