Highly detailed oil painting of China Cove at Point Lobos on Monterey Bay in California.

I originally painted this scene on-location. At the time I also took multiple pictures of the location. Feeling the on-location painting was missing a lot of the charm that a painting done in few hours hasn't the luxury to capture, I worked from my photo reference on this new piece and took the time needed, over a month's time, to do a highly layered painting with the subtle textures and color that made this scene so memorable to me.
